Dr. Ibrahim Negm, Advisor to the Grand Mufti of Egypt, said that the United Nations’ praise of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta Observatory that monitors excommunicating and aberrant fatwas is an acknowledgment of the efforts expended by Dar al-Ifta and the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawqi Allam, to confront extremist fatwas and promote interfaith dialogue and a culture of tolerance and mutual respect among nations.

He added that Dar al-Ifta pledges to exert greater efforts to expose radical ideologies.
