The international media adopts the campaign launched by Dar al-Iftaa to drop the term “Islamic State” when referring to “ISIS”
Many Western media and newspapers adopted the campaign launched by Dar Al-Iftaa yesterday to stop using the term “Islamic State” when referring to the terrorist organization “ISIS”.
Western media including The Washington Post, Fox News Network, The Herald Tribune, ABC News, The Daily Mail, AFP, Huffington Post, Japan News and others quoted Dar al-Iftaa as saying that what the Western world calls “Islamic State” is in no way related to Islam.
The Western media said that the campaign proposes dropping the name of this terrorist organization in favor of “Al-Qaida Separatists in Iraq and Syria” or the acronym “QSIS”.
The Western media praised Dar Al-Iftaa’s new Facebook page titled “Call it Qa’ida Separatists not Islamic State” which expresses the indignation of all Muslims at the actions of this extremist group.
The Western media cited Dar Al-Iftaa’s invitation to Muslims across the world to condemn terrorist acts through all possible means and thus present the true image of Islam and Muslims to the West.
