Filial Piety

My father died recently and my mother is unable to live by herself. I want to host her but my wife refuses. I have other siblings but I want to take care of my mother myself as this is my duty. What should I do?

Is it permissible to travel without my parents’ permission?

My younger sister treats my parents badly due to the unfair treatment she received from them. Is she entitled to treat them like this?

Islam stresses the status of parents and the obligation to treat them with respect. Is it true that paradise lies under the feet of mothers and that if a mother is alive she can protect her children from God’s punishment with her daily and nightly supplications? It is said that this protection ends with a mother’s death. Kindly explain.

What are the duties of children towards their parents?

What are the responsibilities of the offspring towards their deceased fathers or mothers?

My friend passed away three years ago and has a boy and a girl. I take care of them both and the boy now is 21 years old. I treat both like my children. So my question is can I hug the boy or put my hand on his shoulders or back to motivate him, and can he kiss my hand like my kids do each day after fajr prayer?

In the event that a boy was raised by his stepmother and she raised him since he was about 6 years old, is she considered the boy's mother in front of Allah's eyes? i.e. does she get the same rights as the mother who gave birth?

I was previously married and have one daughter from that marriage. After getting a divorce, fifteen years ago, I married again and have a boy and girl from that marriage.
Please tell me whether my current husband is considered a mahram [individual to whom marriage is impermissible] to my daughter from my first marriage?
